PDO Thread Lift takes years off your face without going under the knife through a minimally invasive, non-surgical procedure that minimises the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. The treatment lifts and tightens sagging skin by using polydioxanone (PDO) threads that are introduced into the deeper layers of the skin that promotes the following:

PDO mono threads disappear around 6 months through hydrolysis, leaving the lifted facial contours for around 3 to 6 months thereafter, as the rejuvenation effects of the procedure run their course. The rejuvenation effects include skin cell stimulation to produce new collagen, and new blood vessels to enhance skin microcirculation whilst the PDO threads cause the contraction of the fat tissues, creating a tightening and slimming effect on the facial skin.
During the procedure, a numbing cream is applied to the area, after which the PDO threads are then inserted using cannulas (thin needle-like tubes) into the different layers of the skin. The threads remain in the skin and will dissolve in around 6 months’ time.
The procedure takes around 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the area treated.

What To Expect After Treatment?
After treatment, you may initially feel a little bit tighter than the final result. After around 1 week, you will start to look much more normal. The rejuvenating effects happen after 1 or 2 months when you will notice your skin has better texture, is firmer, and smoother. After around 9 months, when the threads have already dissolved, the rejuvenation continues.
It is recommended to have a PDO Thread Lift re-treatment around 6 to 9 months after the first one to allow a longer-lasting lift of up to 3 years.
